Rescue drill planned today at St. Augustine airport
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Multiple agencies will perform a massive drill Wednesday morning at the Northeast Florida Regional Airport.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue, St. Johns County Airport Authority, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office and Northrop Grumman will perform the exercise at 10 a.m.
According to the fire department, responders will conduct a drill as if a commercial plane crashed during an emergency landing with passengers on board. They said there will be multiple victims, fire and smoke for the participants to handle.
Again, this is just a drill.
