JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Leroy's Café is located on US 1 South in Saint Augustine. According to the restaurant website it's open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
This week the state health inspector found 21 violations at Leroy's. Here is what we found in the report which included nine high priority violations.
An employee who didn't wash their hands before putting on gloves to work with food.
An employee who didn't wash their hands correctly and didn't use soap.
An employee who dried their hands on a dirty towel after washing.
An employee who cracked raw eggs and then handled ready to eat food without washing.
We tried contacting Leroy's owners several times. An employee told us the owner would call us back - but they never did. At last check, the restaurant's voice mail box was full.
Here are the other restaurants at the top of the list this week for high priority violations.
Sushi Wok on Main Street in Jacksonville had 8 critical violations including live flying insects. Ninja Express on Belfort Road in Jacksonville had 7 critical violations including dead and live roaches. They were cleaned up on-site.
