Jacksonville, Fla. - Saint Johns Seafood and Oyster Bar is located on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville. It's a popular lunch and dinner spot. We were here in February when the restaurant landed at the top of the critical list - it's at the top of the list again this week. The state health inspector found 18 critical violations including:
Dead and live roaches in the kitchen
A stop sale was issued on potentially hazardous food for temperature abuse
The restaurant was operating with an expired license

Owner Robert Rukab was happy to talk to us. He says, "The license is up to date. It's the same inspector that was here the last time. She likes to write me up on temperatures. She always comes right after lunch. My statement is the same as last time... I have a message in to her supervisor.
When we asked about the live and dead roaches in the kitchen Rukab replied, "I mean, it's Florida... they are gonna come in."
Mr. Rukab did let us take a look inside his kitchen. He says any customer any time is welcome to do the same.
Here are the other restaurants at the top of the list this week for critical violations.
At Emperors Gentleman's Club on University Boulevard there were 17 critical violations including live flies in the kitchen. You can see that
report here.
At Wacko's Bar & Grill on Emerson there were 16 critical violations including potentially hazardous food like (pasta and ham at buffet bar) held at 50 degrees instead of 41 degrees. You can see that
report here.
