JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help, in tracking down a dangerous robbery suspect.
Police released pictures of the wanted man, who they say walked into an ABC Liquors on July 2 on S. Lane Avenue and approached the counter with an AK-47.
The man violently demanded money from the employee, and put them on the ground before grabbing the cash and some alcohol and running out of the business.
The thief got away with more than $1200 dollars worth of money and merchandise.
Investigators say a similar robbery happened at a Hess gas station on Normandy on June 30th
ABC Liquors and First Coast Crime Stoppers are offering a $6,000 reward in the case.
"It doesn't take much of a man to walk into a store, stick a gun in someone's face, and demand their money. It does take a man to do the right thing. I'm appealing to the suspect this morning. Turn yourself in," Wiley Hodges, Executive Director of Crime Stoppers said.
"There's a bounty on your head. We're going to be paying people to put you in jail," he continued.
