HILLIARD, Fla. -- Several law enforcement agencies announced a bump in the reward money for an arson investigation in Nassau County.
Someone has been setting cars on fire at the Eastwood Oaks Apartment complex. The crimes have been going on since February.
In April, someone torched eight cars in one week.
Robert Thrift is the latest victim. He woke up to the sound of his car alarm - and his '94 Corvette on fire.
"My truck was parked beside it so I moved my truck trying to put it out with a water hose and that was a hopeless cause so I just got away from it," said Robert.
The reward has been increased to $11,000.
"There's an $11,000 bounty in your head and someone is going to call and turn you in," said Crime Stoppers executive director Wyllie Hodges. "We look forward to seeing you very soon," he added.
Crime Stoppers, the State Fire Marshal, and the Nassau County Sheriff's Office will announce the reward's being increased for the arrest of the arsonist.
Call Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS if you have any information. You will stay anonymous.
