Road closures in Arlington start today due to JEA work
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There will be some construction work coming up on University Boulevard in Arlington.
Two lanes of traffic and a turn lane will be closed on University Boulevard North at Commerce Street, starting on Monday.
Crews will be finishing up work on a new water main. Police will be on scene to help with traffic.
The work is part of JEA's Total Water Management Plan to build a pipeline to transfer water from the west side of the St. Johns River to the east side of the river through Arlington to near Southside Boulevard.
Crews will not work on weekends. They'll work in the evenings and overnight, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work should be done by Feb. 18.
