JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man guilty of shooting and killing a Jacksonville man during a fit of road rage was sentenced to 8 years in prison.

Brad Andrew Lippincott, 31, was sentenced Monday. He also got 3-years' probation, 2 years of community control, must pay court fees and make a $1,000 donation to the victim's daughter's education account.

Lipincott pleaded guilty to fatally shooting Kahron Ali  Warnke, 33, near 103rd Street and Jammes Road back in 2012.

Prosecutors say the road rage incident started with a verbal argument over a traffic dispute.

Lippincott pulled out a gun and fired seven shots at the victim's car.

Warnke was fatally injured, but his 8-year-old daughter was not harmed during the attack.

Why is it this man only got 8 YEARS! My step-nephew and his friends thought it would be fun to rob people one day. My nephew was only 17, carrying a BB gun, never fired it, infact none of the children involved caused any physical harm to anyone! My nephew recieve 42 YEARS in PRISON!!! I'm not condoning what my nephew did, in fact I believe he deserves to do some time in prison, but not 42 years and especially when a murder only recieves 8 years!!!!! That is complete garbage and I think that Judge should be disbarred!

Why is it man in anger intentionally kills someone gets 8 years in prison when Marrisa Alexander got 20 years for a warning shot? Why is it an idiot goes into cyber café a few years ago drops his concealed weapon out his pocket (where it should not be and no safety on gun) and kill someone and gets off scott free? Seems to me our corrupt prosectuor's office in Jacksonville needs serious replacing.

Well, it's good to see that you saw fit to rewrite this article…Thank you! It would be nice to "get it right" the first time! It's sad when you have to depend on the public here in comments, to step up your game!

Come on Action News!!! Me thinks it might be time to send your 'reporters' back to school! Maybe it's time to hire a real proofreader, before putting this kind of stuff up on the site! Whoever wrote this should be really embarrassed by their ineptitude!
