Roadwork on Baymeadows Road starts next month
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Construction workers will begin repairing two miles of Baymeadows road in February.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, workers will resurface the road between Bayberry Road and San Jose Boulevard. Workers will remove asphalt and pave roadways.
FDOT says the construction will be between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
According to FDOT, workers will rework the intersection at Baymeadows Road and Philips Highway. They will also replace lights at intersections, clean drainage structures, repair sidewalks and drains, and replace rails along railroads.
FDOT says construction workers will be working from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. throughout the project.
This project costs $2.8 million. Construction workers are expected to finish it by this fall.
