How much do you donate to PBS each year yourself? If you want to keep the bird...donate to the station. The local kids did loads of fund raising last year when there was a possibility that the school board wouldn't have the funding for their sports programs. This should work the same way. So again...how much have you donated to your local PBS???

It is interesting that "Big Bird" is getting pulled into the 2012 presidential election. Must wonder just what prompted Mr. Romney to say that he would cut funding to PBS. Actually, this does provide an insight into this man's real objectives. In that he will target "soft" items to cut from the budget. That he will go after programs and the like that benefit those outside of his social circle. Plain and simple, he is not "of the average, middle class citizens." Never was and chances are never will be. At least President Obama said he would cut areas that are not providing what it should for what it cost. Sounds like value engineering to me. Must figure out the formula to get the "bang for the buck." I believe President Obama is doing just that.
