JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A line of questioning over rap music and socializing with young black teens, and testimony from the father of Ronald Davis headlined the Michael Dunn trial on Monday.

Testimony wrapped shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, but a discussion over a potential final expert witness and instructions to the jury kept both sides in the courtroom.

The judge said testimony could wrap by mid-morning on Tuesday and closing arguments following that afternoon.

The jury could get the case by Wednesday.

The State of Florida rested its case Monday following the testimony of Dr. Stacey Simons, an assistant medical examiner.

She walked jurors through graphic photographs of Jordan's body and his clothing from the night of his death.

Monday's session began with an expert on DNA from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Sukhan Wharf took the stand and testified for about 14 minutes before being excused.

Marie Pagan followed. She's a firearms expert for the FDLE. She went through the mechanics of how to fire a gun, and even used the gun allegedly used by Michael Dunn as part of her demonstration.

The trial took a lunch break and defense attorney Cory Strolla called his first witness at 1:30 p.m.

Two family friends, Randy and Beverly Berry, took the stand, followed by Frank Thompson.

The three witnesses are part of Dunn's circle of friends in an aviation group.

State Attorney Angela Corey's questions to Mrs. Berry led to a sidebar with the judge.

"Mrs. Berry, at any of these social occasions, did any of you play rap music? asked Corey.

"Play rap music?" asked Berry.

"Yes ma'am," responded Corey."

"No," said Mrs. Berry.

"We're there any young black teenagers at any of these social occasions?" asked the State Attorney?

Before Mrs. Berry could finish her sentence, Strolla objected.

A worker at a dry cleaning business near the Gate gas station took the stand briefly. Michelle Reeves told jurors she heard gunshots behind her, coming from the direction of the Gate gas station.

A few minutes later, Ronald Davis took the stand. He is the father of Jordan Davis. He and his family did not attend the morning court session with the graphic testimony.

Mr. Davis told the court he was shocked when he heard about his son's death.

"I was shocked that my son was killed," said Ronald Davis. His testimony, interrupted several times for sidebars and discussions over depositions, lasted for about 20 minutes.

Wedding guests and relatives testified for the defense Monday afternoon, including Michael Dunn's ex wife Phylis Molinaro, her daughter Lexi, JSO detective Travis Oliver Sr., and family friend Don Moes who hired Dunn for a software project at NAS Jacksonville.

Dunn, 47, is accused of shooting Jordan Davis, 17, at a Southside gas station.

Police said the two had been arguing over loud music coming from the SUV Davis and three of his friends were in.

Dunn has said he thought the young men had a weapon. No weapon was found.

Jordan's friends took the stand Friday.

On Saturday, Dunn's fianceé took the stand. Rhonda Rouer recounted the night of the shooting, claiming she and Dunn had been drinking, but Dunn wasn't impaired.

The trial will resume Tuesday at 9 a.m. Both sides are set to meet at 8 a.m. over the final witness.

Ron Davis should've practiced his lies more. It was obvious he was spewing nothing but lies outta his mouth. He is disgusting. How can he sleep at night? Me. Dunn is a hero and will be set free. Then all of you will sing his praises.

Cory is disgusting and a half wit to boot which in combination with the power she has somehow managed to gain, makes her extremely dangerous. Her demeted delusions of granduer only add to this. As stated she did hide evidence in what was the largest legal case since the one before it(that crazy chick who said the ninjas killed her boyfriend maybe? or is it the almighty OJ case(not nichole but the sports collector guy he went in and thugged up?)... anyway how is this cheating lying stealing scum still walking free on the streets? Lest us not forget the poor IT guy who got fired for telling the truth either(a fallen brother that I hope has bounced back in the private industry here in Jax making 10 times what he was!!!). Again, I come with the question "why is Cory still walking around a free ?thing?(not a person or a animal, maybe "it" would be appropriate? just dont know!!!)?" Well I tell you, its prePOSTEROUS! With all the the crimes she has commited along the way you would think she would be locked up FOR LIFE! Also Dunn was a complete idiot that left the scene of the crime and I do fault him for that(what the HECK were you thinking MAN???) but what about the fact the Breff Posse also took off, and returned shortly BACK to the gate with Davis bleeding to death? Also Michael, why in the WORLD did you not teach your son the simple basics of life here in the US of A? Show respect for your elders? Dont be an animal and instigate fights? Turn the other cheek? All concepts I am sure you are familiar with and probably talk about in church every Sunday... is it worth the price to hate whitey? Your admission fee is much higher than I would be willing to pay, but if thats how far you and yours are willing to go, what can you say when its time to cash the ticket? If it was a black guy asking them to turn the music down, would it have turned out the same way? Many people say Im a racist and radical, but what is different that I do other than switch black with white? THINK

I do think Dunn is guilty because of the way he ran. Not saying he might felt threatened. I have yet for them to explain how you kill someone in self defense and not report it.

Keep in mind Corey is type prosecutor that she might be hiding some evidence that shows Dunn is innocent. She did it in the Martin trial. Do not trust that woman to follow ethics.
