SJC requests signage to aid in tourism

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Members of the St. Johns County Commission are throwing their support behind an effort to increase signage that lists the cities of St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra as destinations.

I live in St Augustine....tourism is NOT a problem. If you try to go downtown, there is no parking available, and the streets are like 5th avenue in New York, packed with people. Resturants have up to 2hr waiting lists, so why do we need more people? There are over enough people who visit now. The residents of St Augustine don't go downtown because it cost $10 to park, if there is a space available. You don't need any more people. Secondly, where in Ponte Vedra will anyone want to go? There is nothing but overpriced homes there.
