JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- People are back in their homes tonight after a brief standoff in Arlington.

It happened on a home on North Morgana Road.

A man surrendered to police after holding police at bay for about an hour.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the suspect held a woman inside the home after an argument.

She suffered minor injuries and is distraught.

The suspect, identified by police as 56-year-old Paul James Hudson, has been charged with domestic violence and false imprisonment.

Some children at an in-home day care in the neighborhood were taken to a nearby restaurant where parents picked them up.
