JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man threatening to kill himself at a home off West Governors Drive in Mandarin Saturday night forced police to call in the SWAT team and block off roadways.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the residence around 10 p.m. and spent hours talking to the unidentified man.

Lt. Roger Highcove with JSO told Action News when it became apparent negotiations were not working they called in the SWAT team.

The SWAT team was able to make headway with the negotiations and take the man into custody, according to JSO.

There were no reported injuries.

Roadways in the area were back open Sunday morning.
