JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The repair work on a water line break near the Mayo Clinic will continue through Friday, but all lanes of traffic are open.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's office shut down all southbound lanes of San Pablo Road near the Mayo Clinic Wednesday morning.

JEA told Action News a private contractor hit a 24-inch water main.

Utility crews have isolated the leak to minimize the impact to customers nearby.

JEA said the water line break affected the Mayo Clinic briefly but the water pressure is now back to normal at the medical facility.

JEA said one lane will be closed on Friday while contractors pour concrete to repair the curb along the road.
