Sandy alters vacation plans for cruise ship passengers
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Hurricane Sandy is altering travel plans for thousands of vacationers on cruise ships.
The Carnival Fascination is on a five-day cruise from Jacksonville. It left Monday and is due back in Jacksonville on Saturday.
However, due to the conditions at sea from Sandy, the cruise ship is changing today's scheduled stop in Nassau to a stop in Freeport.
A number of other cruises out of New York, Miami, Baltimore, Charleston and Norfolk are making similar adjustments to the schedule.
