JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The remnants of "Karen" will combine with an approaching cold front to trigger showers and scattered heavy thunderstorms this evening.  Where storms occur, there will be gusty winds, frequent lightning and heavy downpours.  Rainfall of 1-3" per hour flooded roads in the Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach area though waters will quickly recede this evening. Otherwise expect showers that produce moderate to occasionally heavy rain this evening and overnight that could -- in spots -- produce more local flooding.
As the weather system moves into the Atlantic Tuesday, winds will become breezy from the northeast drawing cooler air into the area along with showers at times.  Temperatures will struggle just to reach 80 degrees.
