ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Questions are still arising over possible school zoning changes in St Johns County.

Two new K-8 schools have already broken ground and now, the school board has to figure out what the best zoning plans would be for those attending. Parents met with board members to voice their concerns.

Some aren't happy with current plans.Others think school board members are on the right path.

"We live a mile away from new school," said St. Johns County resident Laurie Simmer. "The current school were zoned for is 8 miles away and were very happy there, but we would love the opportunity to go to a school nearest our home."

"I wanted to be able to walk my child to school I'm not super comfortable with the whole bus situation," added Simmer.

No current zoning has been set. Board members say there will be an meeting to advertise a final plan on Oct. 8.

The attendance school zone changes are posted online.
