Search for hit & run driver

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver.

Steve Mathis, 52, was walking near his driveway when he was struck and killed by a passing car on County Road 127 and 200th Street in Suwannee County.

Mathis was talking with the driver of a wrecker who had stopped to pull his car out of the mud.

The car that hit the man was described as a white mid-sized, four-door car.
