JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Senator Bill Nelson is paying young business leaders a visit Friday in Jacksonville, to discuss his plans for hot button issues in the River City.
Mayport is one of Senator Nelson's priorities in Jacksonville. Sen. Nelson is expected to discuss the Navy's plan to move three patrol crafts to Mayport which is schedule for next month.
During this meet and greet with business leaders, the senator will also give some updates on NASA's plan for a mission to mars.
Two days ago, the mars rover, Curiosity, just marked a major milestone. It's been one year since it landed on the red planet, proving its belief in life on Mars.
Senator Nelson may also pitch his ideas on tax reform, which includes closing special interest loopholes.
