I-95 near Golfair is back open after a crash involving two JSO cruisers
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says a crash on Interstate 95 involved two police cruisers, a semi, a school bus and another vehicle. Amazingly, no serious injuries are being reported.
Two northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for several hours as police cleared the scene of the crash.
A spokesperson for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says the two officers were responding to a single-car crash on I-95 North near Golfair Boulevard.
Police say a semi truck was trying to move over to give the officers room, but a car clipped the semi and forced it into a school bus. The semi then continued on to crash into the police cruisers and jack-knifed.
Both officers were taken to the hospital and are being treated for minor injuries. Two other people involved were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there were no students on board the school bus.
