JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-- Dean Moore spent hours waiting for his girlfriend to land at JIA.

"It was definitely worth it I think so," he said.

He's not alone in waiting, flight boards at the airport had travelers seeing red and yellow. Action News tracked at least 10 incoming delays and at least five outgoing delays.

"The weather adds a little extra challenge," said JIA spokesperson, Michael Stewart.

Stewart said a packed airport is to be expected during the holidays, but the busiest travel week of the year just got busier with rough weather.

While Moore patiently waited, he also thought about his plan to propose.

"I was thinking what if she says no," he said.

All while she waited halfway across the country to say yes.

"I sat on the runway for like an hour," said traveler Rachel Graff.
