Severe weather topples tree into home in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Ga. -- Severe weather knocked a giant tree into a house in Jesup on Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS said strong thunderstorms powered through Wayne County, causing damage to a home near Highway 84 and the Altamaha River.

Warnings went out at 9:30 a.m. and again at 10:07 a.m.  The tree fell over some 20 minutes later.  No one was hurt.
