Sex offender gets death penalty in deadly robbery
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A man convicted of murder will pay for the crime with his life.
A judge sentenced Joseph Edward Jordan, 43, to die for the killing of Keith Cope during a robbery in 2009.
Deputies said Jordan tied Cope to a bed with rope and duct tape before stealing his pickup truck.
The judge also gave Jordan life in prison on the charge of robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon.
Jordan is a registered sex offender from Volusia County.
