Sex predator sentenced on animal sex charge
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- A sexual predator is going to prison on charges related to sexual activity with an animal.
A judge found James Lee Lyons guilty on charges of failing to register as a sex predator, felony cruelty to animals, and sexual activity involving an animal.
Lyons received eight years in prison for all three charges, followed by nine years of sexual offender probation.
Deputies arrested Lyons last year on accusations he had sex with his neighbor's dog.
