GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. -- A convicted child predator is expected to spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Jeffery McDonald, 51, received the life sentence Wednesday morning. He was convicted of four counts of sexual battery. He is also guilty of three counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and two counts of witness tampering.
McDonald molested a female child from January 2005 to March 2008. In 2010, investigators say he secretly videotaped a girl who was under the age of 16 undressing in the bathroom. After he was arrested, McDonald used inmates released from Clay County Jail, along with calls and letters, to pressure the witness into not testifying.
