If the authorities want to put an end to a real money raising scam, they should investigate the sale of Girl Scout cookies. Man those things have gotten ridiculously expensive!!! All of the Girl Scout cookie wholesalers must be taking Caribbean Cruises every year with what the cookies cost and I know the G.S. organization doesn't get to keep very much of what is taken in.

R.I.C.O. convictions have to show a pattern of ongoing criminal activity !!! it took many years to bring certain ethnic types to prosecution in new York/// I sure wouldn't want to be on the jury that has to hear all the evidence against all these folks,, as it will put most of them to sleep... the job of the prosecutors now,, is to compress the cases into manageable sized bits that jurors can get their teeth around,, and convict these individuals !!! any good hunter who baits a trap,, has learned the value of patience & been rewarded for same... next stop,, public officials in st. john's county !!! you just can't rush these investigations,,, but it would be nice to do an Irish jig soon !!!

From what I read I think they said the authorities took so long to bring charges was because it was hard to get a 'paper trail' per say, that would hold up in court.gee...some of the politicians just 'resigned' to avoid prosecution...I think they should get charged anyway.

Wow ! ! ! When FDLE goes on a 'witch hunt', they go on a witch hunt. Wouldn't it be embarrassing if NONE of these guys were guilty of anything and now their reputations have been ruined beyond repair? ? ?

While it is great that this scam has come to light and been exposed, one can't help but wonder…This WWII Vet brought it to the attention of authorities in 2007…What the" #$*% " took so long? 6 years and how many more millions? I guess the gears of government certainly do grind slowly.
