JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One person has been taken to the hospital after a shooting in Riverside.

Police say two young adults had a fight. One pistol-whipped the other.

The gun fired, striking the victim in the neck.

No word on the victim's condition.

The other young adult is being detained.

So far, no charges have been filed.

I assume the "pistol-whipper" will invoke the popular "stand your ground" defense so I'd like to be the first to call for the repeal of a law that is so blatantly flawed that it justifies someone to discharge a weapon while pistol-whipping someone...

One pistol-whipped the other.The gun fired..." : (1)fight = assault = "Assault weapon", (2) pistol probably produced in factory owned by a white person = "racist", (3) pistol-wielding thug was thinking about where to hit victim next = "pre-meditated"; therefore, headline should read "ASSAULT WEAPON WITH RACIST TIES USED IN PRE-MEDITATED ATTACK"...
