JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A weather impulse tracking over the coastal waters is generating rain on this Monday.
At the same, easterly winds at 10 to 20 mph are pushing those showers ashore. Coastal showers are not only holding together, but they are growing into thunderstorms as they move inland.
This pattern (AM coastal showers, PM inland storms) will continue on Tuesday. They'll be widely scattered tomorrow.
Drier, warmer weather will begin to take hold on Wednesday. We'll still see a few thundershowers, but definitely more sunshine through midweek.
By the weekend, it'll be seasonably hot with temperatures back into the low 90s.
With a pattern shift, afternoon/evening thunderstorms will roll across Jacksonville and the Beaches this weekend.
