JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Signing Day 2012 is just around the corner as high school seniors make their final preparations for the big day. This year is a little different since most of the area's top recruits are already committed, and some are already enrolled at their colleges of choice. Nathan Peterman was the top quarterback in the area and is already on campus at the University of Tennessee. The Bartram Trail alum graduated early from high school in order to get a head start on spring practice as a Volunteer.
John Theus is another big name recruit from the area. The Bolles School offensive lineman has committed to the University of Georgia. Theus anchored a state championship offensive line for the Bulldogs alongside North Carolina commit Jon Heck. Theus currently leads our poll on ActionNewsJax.com asking for the top local recruit in 2012. Voting will continue through Wednesday.
Tune in for a special presentation of Action Sports 360 on Wednesday at 10:30 on FOX30. We will have Signing Day covered from the local level to the recruiting classes of Florida, FSU and Georgia.
Schools with information on their Signing Day festivities are asked to send their information to sports@actionnewsjax.com.
