JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Floyd Dwight left Charleston, S. C., to work as a mason in New Orleans 30 years ago and his family hasn't seen him since.

His sisters say they haven't been this close to making any contact with him since 1993. Charlene Dwight and Virgie Green made the 250-mile drive to Jacksonville because last week after they discovered online that their 56-year-old brother was arrested in Hemming Plaza by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office for vagrancy in February.

"We have gone to every area that's on the arrest report to see if he's somewhere in that area and pass out flyers," said Green.

The women told Action News they feared their brother died in Hurricane Katrina, now they just want him to let their 80-year-old mother know he's still alive.

"Even if he does not come home, we want him to contact our mother.  It would be the best Mother's Day present she could receive knowing that he's alive," said Dwight.
