Sketch of possible Northside abduction suspect released

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released a sketch of a suspect they believe could be involved in an attempted abduction that took place near Trout River Boulevard on the Northside Friday afternoon.

Police scoured the area after a victim says she was approached by the unidentified man at her child's bus stop.

The victim suffered minor injuries in a scuffle with the suspect.

The victim described the suspect being in his 40s, having dark brown eyes, and black curly short hair.

The possible suspect is heavy-set and could stand between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He also was wearing a blue flannel jacket and blue jean pants.

Police report the man could be driving an older model, maroon Nissan pickup truck with a tag that begins with the letter "Z." 

The victim in the cash suffered minor injuries and was treated by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue at the  scene. 

The motivation behind the suspect's actions remains a mystery.
