JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- Heat continues to be the weather story, though there will also be isolated heavy afternoon thunderstorms. Storms will be locally heavy, but coverage will be very isolated with most places staying dry. Temperatures will only slowly drop into the 70s overnight. Temperatures Tuesday will soar through the 80s in the morning, reaching the mid 90s in the afternoon with heat indices of 100-108 degrees. Offshore winds will allow temperatures to hit the low 90s all the way to the beaches.
