JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars teamed up with Ashley Furniture on Friday night to host a sleepover at EverBank Field and give 50 area kids their own beds.

Ashley Furniture's Hope to Dream program funded the initiative with the support of Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley and his family.

The kids got a chance to have dinner at EverBank Field, get autographs from players, run on the sidelines of the field and then were surprised with the announcement that they could keep the bed they were sleeping in on Friday.

Some of the kids that participated on Friday night had never slept in their own bed in their lives.

The Hope to Dream program is also backing a "Hit the Sack" campaign in the 2013 football season. Every time the Jaguars record a sack, a mattress will be donated to a local child in need on the First Coast.

Giving out comfortable beds is a good idea. Kids really need it for a better brain development. Besides, getting good sleep will also boost their immune system.
