JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- A very slow moving storm system will bring rain to Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia though the showers will take some time before moving into most of Northeast Florida. A weak cold front will spread rain throughout Southeast Georgia through Tuesday into Tuesday night. The front will move into Northeast Florida Tuesday alllowing for at least a few showers in the metro area. But the bulk of the rain will occur near and north of the Florida/Georgia border. The large area of rain will finally push into Northeast Floirda and Jacksonville Wednesday. Rainfall the next couple days will reach as much as 1-3" near Waycross, Homerville and Nahunta to 1-2" near the Florida/Georgia border to a half inch to an inch for Northeast Florida. The front will cause a wide range in temps. Tue. from the 50s for inland Southeast Georgia to near 80 from Gainesville to Palatka.
