 GLENDALE, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a Cessna single-engine plane managed to miss homes and people when it crashed into a Southern California neighborhood Monday night.

The plane sliced through power lines and landed upside down on a sidewalk in Glendale.

The pilot, who had reported engine problems, was able to free himself from the wreckage
