Small plane still in Flagler County waterway
FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- A small seaplane that flipped upside down on a Flagler County lake Tuesday evening is still in the water tonight.
The plane landed in Lake Disston and then overturned. The Florida Highway patrol says it is still in the water tonight.
FHP said the plane stayed afloat long enough for the two people aboard, pilot Allan Burrows, 59, and passenger Kathrine Burrows, 51, to get out and swim to a dock. The couple has a combined 32 years of flight experience.
Several agencies are investigating the incident. Troopers had expected the aircraft to be pulled from the lake Wednesday.
