Ms. Thompson, although I'm not a mother I pray for you everyday. I know God is watching over you and He is going to see you through this and help you.. And justice will be done. You are a good mother, don't forget that. God bless you and your children.

I can't believe i read that comment about proper arrangements being made to pick up Somer from school and this child might still be here today. Thousands of children walk home from school every day of every school year, no parent can forsee's some sick minded being will take them in the blink of an eye. We live in America, were suppose to feel free and safe where we live No parent can spend 24/7 watching these children, to lose a child has to be the greatest burden a parent has to endure. I am a mother and a Grand/mother and my chilren were free to play in our yard, walk and play anywhere they wanted we didn't have to fear them out of our sight, the difference between then and now is noone gives a damm about their neighbors anymore, its get them before they get us mentallity, not watch out for each other as we'd want them to watch out for us. Drug, sex and murders are reported over an over like something to be proud of, bad news is all that makes headlines, the most resent was televised for hours while reporters retold the same thing waiting for more news on Kilgore, i turned off my tv, the media holds us hostage in our own homes with what they determine is important to us. a five minute report was enough. Lets be frank, all this violence breeds violence, it's way past time to stop highlighting the bad over and over for hours so other sicko's can learn and follow in their foot-path. i vote to get news back to half hour each morning and evening. the police arrest, the courts takes care of guilt or innocents and if convicted you serve you term, no early releases because of over crowding BUILD more space not more news To Somers family and friends please know your in my heart and prayers i know you'll not find peace until your hearts heal

I was really hit hard when this happened to Somer as I took Somer and her sister home from School in April 2009, as Somer and her sister Abby are good friends with my grandaughter Bailee. My prayers are still with the family. Justice will be done.

If the mother would have ensured that her children were picked-up from school or had attended extended day, maybe this child would be alive today!

MY HEART STILL GOES OUT TO THE THOMPSON FAMILY. I AM SURE THAT SOMER BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY TO HER FAMILY. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. THERE ARE NO EASY WORDS TO SAY EXCEPT THAT I BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS MADE HER AN ANGEL AND SHE WILL NEVER BE ALONE. SHE WILL LIVE ON IN THE HEARTS OF SO MANY PEOPLE. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO POUR OUT HIS BLESSINGS ON HER FAMILY AND MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD GIVE THEM PEACE AND COMFORT.
