ORANGE PARK, Fla. (AP) -- Somer Thompson is being remembered in a song written by Bobby Ingram of the rock group Molly Hatchet.
The song will be the played for the slain girl's mother, Diena Thompson, at a concert Friday night in Orange Park to raise money for the family of the little girl who went missing on October 19th, while on her way home from school.
The 7-year-old's body was found two days later in a landfill in Georgia. The proceeds from the concert will be split between Somer's family and the Justice Coalition for a reward fund than now stands at $45,000.
