JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- With 900 creators and 130,000 curious spectators, organizers, business owners, and city leaders are calling One Spark a huge success.

Co-Founder Elton Rivas agrees. "I think it was absolutely amazing."

The brainchild of Rivas and some friends, One Spark gave artists and inventors a chance to show off and sell their talents. For five days,dDowntown finally had the foot traffic city leaders have been craving.

Rivas said, "I think it just shows that the community here in Jacksonville was really just yearning for something like this, and made it their own."

Mayor Alvin Brown said, "I think it's a very good thing and it will have a lasting impact on our city."

While the exact financial figures aren't in yet, many downtown business owners extended their hours and took advantage of the big crowds.

Plans are already in the works for next year's festival.

"We're going to take all the feedback we get from the community and start planning next week for 2014," said Rivas.
