Special needs children get a taste of Jaguars football
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some of Jacksonville's special need's children got a taste of what it's like to be a Jaguar Saturday. The Donovin Darius Foundation held a field day for some of Hope Haven's down syndrome families.
They ran drills and got a special behind the scenes tour of Everbank Field. Donovin Darius is a former Jaguar defensive end who says he wanted to show these kids that nothing is out of bounds for them.
"We all have something we can give. So if we can utilize my past experiences with the doors that are still open to bring a smile to someone's face and hopefully change their life then it's all worth it," said Darius.
This is the first of a series of camps hosted by the Donovin Darius Foundation.
