St. Augustine Leaders Approve Alcohol Sales Near Churches
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- St. Augustine leaders voted to approve a change to an old ordinance to make it easier to sell alcohol near places of worship.
It allows alcohol to be sold within 100 feet of a church, if that business makes more than half its annual income from food.
Leaders provisionally approved the move earlier this month, but wanted to hold more hearings to get public input.
