ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- 7-11 plans to appeal a decision that keeps it from moving into a new neighborhood.
Neighbors fought 7--11's plan to put a store at the intersection of May Street and San Marco Avenue.
They think the traffic would make things dangerous for children at the nearby Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind.
St. Augustine's historic review board said the company had agreed to meet its requirements.

as usual, i'm sure the city council has been well paid for its time, on behalf of 7-11 corporation/southland foods inc. !!! may street & san marco is the worst possible place for the very idea of a gas station.... that property is best suited for a professional bldg with under the bldg parking & limited hours of operation during the week... i lived there for 3 years so i'm familiar with the intersection, which is overused as is & this will bring traffic to a standstill & ruin tourism in st. augustine !!! there is nothing historic about 7-11 !!!!
