ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- St. Augustine is drafting a proposal that would change an ordinance that bans alcohol sales within 100 feet of a church.

The city wants to allow that if the establishment sells more food than booze.

It's part of a plan to allow new shops and businesses near a local church.

City commissioners say they're interested in the change -- but want to hear from local religious leaders before they make a ruling.
