ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A local "spell-ebrity" made it to the finals in her attempt at a national title.

Grace Remmer of St. Augustine advanced to the finals at the Scripps National Spelling Bee but misspelled the word melocoton in the 10th round.

This was the eight-grader's fourth trip to the annual bee outside Washington, D.C.

Last year, she was among the top 50 spellers.
