ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Augustine Police Department is participating in Project Drug Drop to remove unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medication from our community.

The Prescription Drug Drop Box has been placed inside the lobby of the St. Augustine Police Department at 151 King St. It can bus used by the public 24 hours a day to anonymously dispose of unwanted medication.

There are some restrictions:
Only prescription and over-the-counter medications in pill or patch form maybe deposited.
No loose pills may be deposited.
Drugs must be in a container such as a pill bottle, box, blister pack, or zip lock bag.
No liquids, gels, needles, aerosols, or biohazard materials may be deposited.
No illegal drugs will be placed into the drop box.
