ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- St. Johns County Fire Rescue is honoring two fire rescue leaders.

Fire rescue named Lt. Scott Bullard as the paramedic of the year.

Bullard has good judgment on emergency and fire rescue calls to help keep his community safe, according to the fire department.

"He consistently managed the calls well by making appropriate medical care decisions, managing life safety hazards and mitigating the calls in a very safe and effective manner which has made a positive impact on the citizens involved as well as SJCFR," said Capt.
Kevin Waters.

Firefighter Art Naidzich won firefighter of the year.

The fire department recognized Naidzich's good attitude and professionalism. The department said his prior training as an ocean lifeguard has been helpful.
