St. Johns County burglary suspect arrested

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's office has made an arrest in two car burglaries in a St. Augustine neighborhood. 

The burglaries happened in the early morning on Tuesday, January 28, 2013 in the 300 block of Elementary Way.

Police say the suspect, 24-year-old- Richard Palmer can be seen on the victim's security camera driving past the victim's home and parking out of view. He, then, approached the victim's van and removed several items.

Police believe Palmer also entered a neighbor's vehicle and took two handguns.

Palmer was arrested for burglary and grand theft.

Deputies say they also found the handguns and other property stolen from the victim's vehicles.
