ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash between a St. Johns County Sheriff's deputy and another car.
Investigators say the deputy was driving along Holmes Boulevard when a car pulled out in front of him. The deputy slammed into the car, sending the car into the yard of a home.
The patrol cruiser then hit a power pole.
FHP says the other driver suffered non life-threatening injuries. The deputy, identified as Brandon Allsup, was not hurt. There are no roadblocks.
Lisa Lorenzo, 48, has been charged with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. She went to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries.
