St. Johns County looking for armed robbery suspect

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is looking for a burglary and robbery suspect.

The incident occurred early Saturday when someone forced their way into the Gate Station at 220 State Road A1A North in Ponte Vedra. At just after 3 a.m. Sunday, a clerk at the Kangaroo on Marlin Road and State Road A1A reported that a subject in a mask came in and demanded money from her.

The suspect reportedly threatened the victim with a firearm and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 5'11 to 6'2 with a lean build, light brown hair, and is possibly in his late teens to mid-20s.
Detectives believe both incidents are related.
