JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The SWAT with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for a suspect wanted in a standoff early Wednesday morning.

According to JSO, shots were fired at a home just before 4 a.m. on Maynard Street, east of Interstate 95.

Police said 23-year-old Alrah Bynum was barricaded inside the home.

Matt Augustine with our news partner WOKV says tear gas canisters were also thrown into the home.

A neighbor told Augustine that police went to the house next door yelling, "We have the house surrounded, come out with your hands up."

If you have information on Bynum, contact Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS. You could receive a cash reward up to $3,000 if police arrest Bynum.

If I were him I would find a criminal justice lawyer and have him arrange to be there when I surrendered to police. Right now they have to prove he attacked someone and that he fired at police with evidence as well as witnesses. That said everyone knows how honest all police are. None them never shoot the wrong person and kill them. They never kill household pets out anger. They never falsely charge people of crimes. They never text on their police unit computers and drive. Sarcasm noted. Reason I sad find someone with court credentials to be present when he turns himself in.
